BirchStreet Systems, an Enterprise SaaS company is seeking a Business Development Representative for its SmartAP/Pay Solution. This involves collaborating with the field sales team, leveraging multi-modal prospecting strategies to engage with prospective buyers and generate sales pipeline. Candidates should have a proven track record of success, and experience with sales prospecting tools. B2B payments experience, and additional language skills are a plus. The position is remote, with a preference for candidates in the Pittsburgh area.
Job Responsibilities:
- Successfully pursue and engage prospects within Pay target accounts through outbound channels, including calls, emails, and LinkedIn outreach
- Identify stakeholders from existing customer accounts for Pay cross-sell opportunities, working closely with Account Executives on strategy
- Generate pipeline by follow-up on leads/inquiries from Pay-related marketing campaigns; qualify and convert those into sales-ready opportunities
- Contribute to demand creation through educating prospective buyers on relevant industry trends, pain points, and how Birchstreet Systems Pay solution can help address those
- Create targeted email outreach cadences for various Pay personas to help move prospects through the buying cycle
- Nurture prospects/customers by providing relevant materials and resources at different stages of buyer's journey
- Capture all relevant customer information and activity in SFDC to ensure effective buyer hand off to the AEs
- Ensure positive buyer experience through a timely response to inquiries
- Develop strong knowledge of the hospitality industry; leverage internal SMEs to gain firm understanding of the product, unique differentiators and value creation for the customer
- Ensure data integrity for the assigned target accounts and contacts in Salesforce.com, enriching information as needed
- Develop strong relationship with Account Executives
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field
- 2-3 years of professional work experience, preferably in business development/customer service roles or in payments industry
- Experience with CRM system (Salesforce.com) is strongly preferred
- Experience with Sales prospecting tools: LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, sales outbound tool i.e Groove
- Strong phone communication and presentation skills
- Ability to write concise and creative emails
- Must be customer focused and highly responsive
- Strong time management and prioritization skills
- Effective listener to understand buyer's needs
- Self-starter who has a desire to learn, grow and excel in their role
