Carolina Chillers Inc. is looking for a motivated HVAC professional to become a Project Sales Representative in our Florence, South Carolina office.  


Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for sales activities and long-term relationship management for Mechanical HVAC and Building Management Solutions.
  •  Customer development – Order intake to budgeted level of booking, gross margin and acceptable risk.
  • Understanding of key processes, economic drivers to develop valued customer partnership in mechanical HVAC and Building Automation Controls business solutions.
  • System and consulting knowledge applicable to vertical markets.
  • Sales of projects to Industrial Accounts ranging from life cycle asset management programs to technology upgrades.
  • Strategic and day-to-day account management of key accounts.
  •  Business improvement, achieving aggressive productivity targets.  Be the champion of sales processes and disciplines.
  •  Act as an industry spokesperson and figurehead to promote Carolina Chiller’s, Inc. Brand and capability.
  •  Aggressively deploy new business initiatives.
  • Responsible for achieving and exceeding annual sales goals and margins. 
  •  Be able to work independently and have a strong desire to succeed.
  •  Reinforce the Carolina Chillers vision, mission statement and values. 
  •  Understand the scope of HVAC work to bid
  •  Provide accurate takeoffs of commercial and industrial HVAC systems and accessories using proprietary estimating programs
  •  Develop bid prices and proposals for projects ranging from $50K-$1M+
  •  Read specifications and bid documents. Knowledge of digital takeoffs i.e., Bluebeam, REVIT, etc. is a plus but not mandatory 
  •  Prepare and submit RFI's
  •  Attend walk through and job inspections
  • Prepare Bid by studying plans; updating specifications; identifying and projecting costs for each system. Read plans and identify labor, material, and time requirements
  •  Obtain bids from vendors and subcontractors by specifying scope and materials; identifying qualified subcontractors; negotiating price
  •  Offer recommendations and solutions to design and/or budget issues
  •  Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • · Assist Sales Account Managers with system solutions (Design Build) and estimates
  •  Review plans, specifications, submittals, and other contract documents to create a job plan for the successful completion of assigned projects
  •  Effective manpower planning for future projects, including direction of specialty subcontractors.
  •  Maintain a professional rapport with architects, engineers, building owners, installers, and suppliers 

New Account Development

  •  Be able to Consult/Investigate key business opportunities with a large range of customer contacts.
  •  Product solutions design and planning with internal resources and supplier contacts.
  •  Generate Proposals and Cost Development Sheets.
  •  Develop methods, create and give presentations.
  •  Research/Network within various industries and with various customer bases. 
  •  Activity development follow, anticipate trends.
  •  Be actively involved with Team and Self Development.
Requirements

  

Basic Qualifications

  • Degree / Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 2+ years’ experience in Sales, Business Development
  •  Experience with Mechanical HVAC and Building Automation Systems
  •  Good rapport and network with Clients & Subcontractors
  •  Ability to read and interpret Construction Documents, Plans and Specifications
  •  Effective communication skills (written and oral)
  •  Decisive individual with a strong mechanical aptitude
  •  Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and internet browsers
  •  Able to pass a standard Drug Screen and Background check
  • Must have a valid driver’s license

  • Experience related to sales demonstrations, sales meetings, and customer negotiations
  •  Demonstrated success in applying various solutions within differing environments
  •  Proven ability to manage multiple accounts and to prioritize workloads in a dynamic and progressive work environment
  •  Professional written, verbal and presentation skills, ability to effectively interact with all levels of the customer’s environment
