The Position:
We are seeking a Business Development Manager to help in achieving territory growth targets by selling into new and existing accounts to expand services within the assigned region. This role will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business prospects, managing client relationships, and contributing to the overall sales strategy to help grow the company's presence in the market. The Business Development Manager will manage and discover a robust pipeline of clients to ensure that Silversand Services remains competitive and meets sales targets.
Position Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the commercial landscaping industry, including municipalities, property management companies, corporate offices, and HOAs.
- Ensure that there are sufficient prospective calls being made each week to expand services within the assigned region.
- Develop market entry strategies and action plans to penetrate new markets and expand the company's presence in existing markets.
- Generate leads and convert them into long-term clients by delivering tailored landscaping solutions that meet their needs.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing and prospective clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Stay current on industry trends, competitor activities, and new business opportunities in commercial landscaping.
- Work closely with the leadership team to develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to achieve revenue targets and grow the customer base.
- Represent product portfolio through speaking engagements, industry events, and trade shows that are identified as relevant to growing the footprint within the assigned territory.
- Manage and grow pipeline through active prospecting and territory planning.
- Develop and execute sales action plans that deliver profitable growth.
- Create and present detailed proposals, including scope of work, cost estimates, and project timelines, in alignment with client needs and company capabilities.
- Lead contract negotiations with potential clients, ensuring favorable terms while maintaining profitability.
- Track and report on business development activities, sales pipeline, and success metrics, providing regular updates to senior management.
- Prepare all necessary reports and forecasts in a timely and accurate manner, as requested by management.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, related field, or equivalent industry-related experience required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably within the commercial landscaping, construction, or related industries.
- Strong understanding of the commercial landscaping industry, including services like lawn care, landscaping design, maintenance, and irrigation systems.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite required.
